Sam Haddon first joined Meliden in July 2021 after over 4 years away from Football which he played for Connah's Quay Nomads, then after over a season at Denbigh Town, Haddon returned to Meliden in September 2023.

Haddon made his Meliden debut in the 3-0 Welsh Cup First Qualifying Round win away to Blaenau Ffestiniog before making his Home Debut in the FAW Amateur Trophy a week later in a 2-1 victory over Llandudno Junction in which he scored his first goal of his first stint, his second Miners debut was at home to FC Queens Park again in the FAW Amateur Trophy which Meliden won 3-0, Haddon is a very creative Midfielder and will even go for goal himself if he has to.
