CLUB HISTORY

Meliden Football Club was first founded in 1974, since the club's inception we've made our ground The Mine on Ffordd Ty Newydd & Ffordd Pennant our home which has evolved over the decades, Meliden has reformed into it's current structure in 2008 and since the reformation has won the Clwyd Cup and the Combination Cup (both in 2012).

Meliden since 2008 had first joined of what was called the Clwyd Football League, which we played in for 4 seasons before gaining promotion to the 3rd Tier with what was the Welsh Alliance League Division Two, before resigning from the league at the end of the decade to rejoin the short-lived Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Football League, which was replaced in 2020 with what is now the North Wales Coast East Football League in which we currently play in it's Premier Division.

Since 2020 we've punched above our weight on many occasions and in 2023 we made our way to two Semi Finals in our best club performance of recent times.
