GWYNT Y MOR WINDFARM PLEDGES £25,000.00 IN SUPPORT OF A WIDER PROJECT

Meliden Football Club are delighted to announce that the Gwynt Y Mor Windfarm have pledged £25,000.00 in support of a wider project! After applying in November we recently had the news that representatives from Gwynt Y Mor were in full support of the ambitions we have, subject to pre conditions that are now in the process of being met.

Reaction on the news from the Chairman:

"Another really big moment for us as a club and one we are hugely grateful for, when I set out the application, the sole purpose was to make Gwynt Y Mor believe in our committee and what we want to bring to both club and the local community, this funding is for the future and we based it on a number of set outcomes that we will bring to the community of Meliden.

With this huge amount of funding we will be able to introduce a junior section, for both girls and boys, we will gain new volunteers to the club, 8-10 to be precise, which helps us match one of our values of bringing people together through football, we will also be introducing a senior women's team in the near future and most importantly we will be safeguarding all of our volunteers, offering them voluntary training along the way.

To have Gwynt Y Mor members believe in what we want to do is a testament to us a group and I'm very proud of everyone involved, we can't begin to thank those who pledged this amount, this is just the first of many milestones we are going to reach as a club and there's plenty more news in the near future of how we will continue to give back to our local community!"

The Gwynt Y Mor windfarm fund is available for many non for profit organisations, a brilliant fund that creates better environments in the local area, you can visit the funders on socials, @GwyntymorCF, @RWE_UK and @conwyvol (CVSC), a huge thank you to everyone involved and please keep an eye on our website for more news in the future!

Thank you.
